Ever since I was a child, art has enabled me to express my emotions and to transcend verbal communication. I used to spend hours drafting marks, lines,  and shades with my artist brother Sven de Rennes, drawing being an endless passion for both of us.
My work is centred around painting, drawing and mostly printmaking.
Etching is a versatile medium that can be explored and revisited over time, by adding textures, shades, lines, colours, lettering, ink. The plate can be reworked until destroyed, embodying the fugacity of life. My pieces are inspired by what I read, listen or watch.
Besides, I am exploring the global position of women artists in the art realm, and how being in the invisible sphere has influenced their expression. I have a particular interest in  women artists such as  Shirin Neshat, Roser Bru, Leonora Carrington, and Käthe Kollwitz.
I am currently a keyholder at the East London Printmakers, where I can share and expend my practice.
